Poseable Hand Made Baby Kiwi Griffon Hatchling!

The only one of its kind, this adorable, unique hand sculpted poseable fantasy "Baby Kiwi Griffon Hatchling" is a rare piece of artwork being offered up for bid! It's fully posable and can be posed in many positions. This is a completely hand made fantasy creature. I hand sculpted the head and feet onto a posable skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing. The imitation fur I have hand dyed while maintaining full softness. I hand paint the clay parts with acrylics.

The egg is a very hard, compressed foam that I bought during Easter. I neatly cut the egg open to look as though the Kiwi Griffon had just hatched and painted it inside and out to look like a fantasy griffin egg.
There is not another creature like this in the world!

I do not use molds, casts or patterns, each is fully hand made and original.

The Baby Kiwi Griffon is approximately 11 inches long and 6 inches tall. The egg is 11 inches tall. I sign each one on the side of the foot, back of the ear or under the jaw.
Enjoy!

Thank you! All credit for the egg shell idea goes to my Dad, he was so excited about it! :D

I have a random thought, are you at all worried about the decay rate of these pieces? I'm sure if any of these were given to a child they'd be destroyed within days, but I'm more interested in its durable against time and their 'anticipated' environment.

Well these are not "toys" they are pieces of art work that are meant to be handled but done so with care. Not meant for small children but for those that will treat them responsibly as in not dropping them right and left. :D I've kept the very first creature I've ever made and its still in excellent condition even after all this time and has passed many rough durability tests.
