I had fun sculpting this Fantasy Arctic Tundra Stag. I could picture him trudging his way through an arctic snowstorm, head down, fighting against the howling blizzard. This stag is the only one of its kind, a unique piece of art, hand sculpted, poseable, fantasy creature being offered up for bid!

This is a completely hand made creation. I hand sculpted the head and cloven hooves onto a posable wire skeleton that I made and wrapped it with stuffing. Parts of the imitation fur I have hand dyed while maintaining full softness. I hand paint the clay head, antlers and hoofs with acrylics. There is not another creature like this in the world!

I do not use molds, casts or patterns, each is fully hand made and original. However for antlers on this creature I used a hard composite, commercially made set as they would be far to brittle if made with clay & wire.

The stag is approximately 21 1/2 inches long and 15 /12 inches tall. I sign each one on the side of the foot, back of the ear or under the jaw.

Thank you for looking at my creations and good luck bidding-

It's so beautiful! Man, I constantly wonder how you do such amazing work in what feels like such a short amount of time. And with how much you make from them, does this mean it's your primary work? Like, do you not have to go to any other job since you make so much with this? If so, that must be so amazing! It looks like so much fun to design and build such gorgeous creatures, even if it is a lot of hard work (what with dying the fur yourself, sculpting the heads, sewing the whole thing and going out for the supplies- though all of that sounds like fun to me too xD). Ffff. It just sounds like such a dream job~ I'm super jelly~
