This unique, hand sculpted, fully poseable, "Fantasy Thunder Stag" is a rare piece of artwork being offered up for bid! This is a completely hand made fantasy creature. I hand sculpted the face and cloven hooves onto a posable skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing so its very soft! I then paint the clay parts with acrylics and small brushes. The antlers are a type of resin and not made by me to insure that they are not fragile. Parts of the synthetic fur has been hand dyed while maintaining full softness!
I do not use molds, casts or patterns, each is fully hand made.
The creature is approximately 18 inches long (Including tail) and 16 inches high. Work is signed by the artist. Enjoy!
*sigh* this guy is so MAJESTIC! I would have bid for him in a heartbeat were it not for the whole being a penniless student thing... I really wish you did a tutorial or two, not for specific creatures but for your methods and what materials you use. maybe make a book or something? I'd buy it. I really want to try my own hand at making somehting like this, partially because I know I'll never be able to afford one of your marvellous critters, and partially because I want to give life to my own designs and ideas. Crocheting is all good and well, but it can be REALLY hard to get details right, especially as I've only just started out at making my own patterns. :/
Such a wonderful, proud creature! And such inspiring piece of art! I love it, just like all Your other works!! I saw that You mention in descriptions of Your arts, that You sign some of Your creations. How do You do that?
