Sorry about the previous message. Your secret is your secret and i appreciate that. I just want to say sorry and be friends and ask some questions lol. What type of clay do you use and what type or wire do you use can do you use faux fur as well as synthetic fur? How long does it take you to make a posable doll? Keep up with the great work! Love It! Oh, one more thing! Why are they soo expensive? Kind regards Alex
Haha This is Lee's one and only 24 hour job. She is so productive because this is what she does professionally. And Lee always sets the bidding off on each one at only $25 and lets the people decide each ones worth through the bidding, which is really humble of her. My advise is if you would like one of Lee's, save up to participate in the Auction Adoptions.
I have read that you have worked in in the production of The Hobbit, so I was wondering if you have seen anything for the show Jim Hensons Creaure Workshop. It has already started, but I am sure there will be another season. And I just have to believe that if you were anywhere interested you would win and blow them away- I mean, your stuff is unbelievable and takes me to another world, just like when I grew up with The Muppets, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Mirromask, and all the other wonderful work... I've always looked at your work in awe, and thought of you as one of the greats. I have no idea if it would be your thing, but I would hate for it to be something of interest for you and you don't know about it. Anyhoo, I love all your creations and do hope you know what wonderful worlds you create with your art, that leaves dreamers like me, still dreaming.
My goodness thanks for such kind words, I'm happy you enjoy them! I just feel very bless but no sorry I didn't do any work on the Hobbit, I was just invited to "Weta Workshop" in New Zealand which is the film company that created "The Hobbit, Narnia, King Kong, ect" to work on some personal projects in Weta Workshop. And yes I've actually just recently seen the Jim Henson movies when I was in New Zealand, hadn't heard of them until then. I'm shocked now that more films don't have more puppets in them. If they could do that back in the day, just think of what we can do now with animatronics and physical handmade creatures in films!
Oh, I just see now that I read that wrong. Oops. But even so, that sounds very cool. I agree completely, more films should have puppets in them... I certainly would love it. I know, there's so many new techniques and styles, and everything- so why not apply it to puppets?... Or at least give me one more movie. One more movie like Henson. I'm so very glad that I at least have you to carry the dream.
I am totally blown away by how much your creations sell for! Every time I see one I would love to have and go to eBay, the bids are in the hundreds of dollars.. It speaks volumes for how popular, and beautiful your work is!!
